Company History
Since 1971 our company has provided agricultural, commercial, and residential appraisal and consulting services to the province of Saskatchewan. Howard Mattila, AACI, P.App, P.Ag began appraisal work centered out of North Battleford in 1971. Howard acted as a mentor to several appraisers including those working in Meadow Lake in the 1990s and 2000s with Northwest Properties, a company that was later acquired by Mattila Appraisals. Howard also acted as a mentor to David Fortier, AACI, P.App, Bcomm (Dist.) who worked with Mattila Appraisals for 5 years prior to becoming the owner and president of Fortier Mattila Appraisals Inc. Together our firm builds upon the knowledge and legacy built by Howard Mattila while taking advantage of new and exciting tools, analyses, and methods introduced by David Fortier and associates.
